Greek crime drama, produced in 1961, duration 90 minutes.
In a desolate location, Martha is found murdered, shortly after arriving by train in Nafplio. The initial suspicions fall on the young man who was traveling with her, Vasilis Dano, who had given a false name at the hotel. He is interrogated by Captain Papagiannis and temporarily released, with orders not to leave the city. The investigation reveals that Martha was murdered elsewhere, and her body was later transported to the location where it was found. The captain then identifies the real culprit, a villager of Martha’s, with whom she had a failed emotional relationship in the past. Meanwhile, the young suspect, born in Nafplio but having moved to Athens before the war, meets and falls in love with Annoula, the murdered woman’s sister.
