ERTFLIX: The platform
What is ERTFLIX?
ERTFLIX is the digital platform of ERT that offers thousands of hours of on demand content (Video On demand) and ERT’s channels live (Live Streaming).
The platform is available without a subscription.
For access abroad (outside of Greece), the platform is available only to registered users.
What can I watch on ERTFLIX?
Access in Greece
You can enjoy all the richness of ERT’s live or On Demand programming: exciting Greek and foreign fiction series, productions and co-productions of ERT, selected films from Greek, European, and world cinema, excellent documentaries, concerts, and music shows, a plethora of kid’s programs, entertainment shows, game shows, news bulletins and informative shows, sports events of Greek and international interest, as well as favorite programs from the valuable archive of ERT.
In addition, you can watch live:
All ERT TV channels (ERT News, ERT1, ERT2 SPOR, ERT3, ERT WORLD) and thematic channels
ERT’s nationwide radio stations (ERTNEWS Radio, Second Program, Third Program, Kosmos, Zeppelin, ERA SPORTS), as well as thematic web radios (Second Laika, Second Traditional, Kosmos Jazz, Maestro)

You can enjoy Greek fiction series, modern and classic Greek films, award-winning documentaries, theatrical performances, music shows and concerts, kids’ programming, news and informative shows, sports broadcasts and events of Greek interest, tributes, and favorite programs from the valuable archive of ERT, as well as shows dedicated to Greeks around the world.
In addition, you can watch live the TV channels ERT World*, ERT News, ERT Sports, Vouli TV World, RIK SAT. The radio station “The Voice of Greece” is also available.

Are there subtitles? How can I turn them on/off?
Greek subtitles are available for most Greek fiction series, selected documentaries and shows, while English subtitles are available for unique programs.
To view with subtitles, click on the subtitles icon.
On ERTFLIX you will also find selected programs with subtitles for the hard of hearing and deaf, marked CC, as well as an audio description for people with visual impairment, marked AD, in the category “Accessibility for all”.
Why are there no Greek and English subtitles on all programs?
According to the Accessibility Policy, ERT has started adding subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers. Subtitles are not yet available for all content and are being added gradually (e.g., to news bulletins and TV series).
ERT has also begun adding English subtitles to the content it offers. Subtitles are already available for most Greek fiction series.
Why are subtitles (Greek or English) not available when an episode is uploaded on ERTFLIX?
The reason is related to the scheduling of episode broadcasts and the content subtitling process.
Set up Parental Control
Log in to your account. Go to Settings and activate Parental Control, using the default Pin 1111.
Additional features include Playback Limit (per device) and Lock Channels (Live Streaming).
Go to My Account Settings, to change the default Pin.
Accessibility
On ERTFLIX you will find selected programs with subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, marked with the CC label, as well as audio description for people with visual impairments, marked with the AD label, in the category “Accessibility for All.”
The ERTNEWS Sign Language channel offers the News Bulletins at 12:00, 18:00, and 21:00 in Greek Sign Language. Content in Greek Sign Language is also available in the “Accessibility for All” category.
On which devices is ERTFLIX available?
ERTFLIX is available on smart mobile devices (mobile phones and tablets) with Apple iOS, Google Android and Huawei HarmonyOS operating systems, on computers through browsers, on smart TVs, Set-Top Boxes with Google Android TV operating system and Apple Tv. Also available on Samsung Tizen and LG webOS and on the ROKU platform. Casting services are also provided, while Hybrid TV (HbbTV) services are available in Greece.
Why, after a recent update of the ERTFLIX app, are some device models incompatible (such as Samsung 2016 models, Android v.10)?
During regular updates of the ERTFLIX application, some older device models may become incompatible with the new version. This is due to technological limitations of the devices themselves, as well as changes required to support new features.
Mobile phones or tablets running Android version 10 or earlier are not compatible.
ERT’s development team works to maintain the highest possible level of compatibility; however, in some cases, support for older devices is no longer technically feasible.
DRM-protected content is not compatible with certain devices, e.g., Windows 7. Why do some movies or series not play?
The inability to play movies or series on older operating systems such as Windows 7 (which is no longer supported by Microsoft) is mainly related to DRM (Digital Rights Management) issues. DRM is a form of digital protection that prevents unauthorized copying or downloading of content.
Will additional applications be developed (e.g., Fire Amazon Stick, Hisense)?
ERT’s technical team is working to expand the availability of the service to as many televisions, media players, devices, and platforms as possible, with an emphasis on accessibility and user experience.

How can I create an ERTFLIX account?
Visit ERTFLIX from a browser and click “Register/Login”. Complete your registration in 3 simple steps!
– Create Account
– Fill in the registration form: Name, surname, country.
– Follow the activation link you received in your email, to complete the registration.
The link remains active for 24 hours. In case you did not manage to activate your account in time, please contact us at ertflix@ert.gr
Why create an account?
Creating an account will give you more benefits and access to the following features:
– ‘Continue Watching’ feature from where you left off (from any device).
– ‘Add to Favorites’ to create your own lists, with unique content of your choice.
– Parental Control, to give families more control over the content kids watch.
Access to ERTFLIX from countries outside of Greece is available by creating an account.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
If your account is active you will soon receive instructions in your email to recover your password. If your account is not active, will need to repeat the registration process from the beginning.

ERTFLIX: Geographic Restrictions
In which countries is ERTFLIX available?
ERTFLIX is available worldwide.
While I was in Greece, I could watch series and movies; now I am abroad and I cannot watch them or some episodes are missing.
Content available for viewing outside Greece is determined by broadcasting rights, the time required for subtitling processing, and other factors, and it often differs from the content intended for viewing within Greece.
Why are the live channels ERT1, ERT2 SPORT, and ERT3 not broadcast abroad?
ERT does not broadcast its live channels (ERT1, ERT2 SPORT, and ERT3) outside Greece due to intellectual property rights (copyright).
Tune in to ERT World from wherever you are! A channel specially designed for the Greek diaspora, offering selected programs from ERT1/2/3 as well as original content.
Why are movies, documentaries, and series not available abroad?
ERT shapes its content on both linear channels and on-demand services in accordance with intellectual property rights, licensing policies, and broadcasting rights by geographic region.
Why are matches of the Greek National Team and international sporting events not broadcast abroad?
Television and broadcasting rights for international competitions (e.g., Olympic Games, UEFA Nations League, EURO or World Cup qualifiers, friendlies, etc.) are distributed on a country-by-country basis.
Why is the number of episodes in series different when watching ERTFLIX from abroad?
This is related to the scheduling of episode broadcasts on both ERTFLIX and ERTWORLD.
Episodes are published abroad after they have aired on ERTWORLD.
