Το λαϊκό τραγούδι σήμερα: O Μπάμπης Τσέρτος και η Νάντια Καραγιάννη στην εκπομπή «Η δική μας πόλη»

Την Κυριακή 3 Αυγούστου και ώρα Ελλάδας 12:00-14:00, η εκπομπή της Φωνής της Ελλάδας «Η δική μας πόλη» και ο Θέμης Ροδαμίτης θα φιλοξενήσει τον Μπάμπη Τσέρτο και τη Νάντια Καραγιάννη. Οι δύο καλλιτέχνες θα μας μιλήσουν για την πλούσια μουσική διαδρομή τους, τους σταθμούς στην πορεία τους, τους αγαπημένους τους δημιουργούς. Τα δύο αδέρφια θα μας πουν ακόμη για το λαϊκό τραγούδι σήμερα, για τις νέες φωνές και τους μουσικούς.

Αναφορές θα γίνουν στο πώς διασκεδάζει ο κόσμος σήμερα στα πανηγύρια και στο κατά πόσο βοηθάει το φυσικό περιβάλλον στην ερμηνεία και την απόδοση των τραγουδιών.

Οι πολύπειροι καλλιτέχνες, θα μας μιλήσουν για τους μεγάλους δημιουργούς του λαϊκού μας τραγουδιού, για τις γειτονιές που αυτό άνθισε, καθώς και για τις πολύτιμες αξίες που εκφράζει.

On Sunday, 03 August, from 12:00 to 14:00 Athens time, the Voice of Greece program "Our Town" welcomes Babis Tsertos and Nadia Karagianni. The two acclaimed artists will share stories from their rich musical journeys — the milestones in their careers, their collaborations, and the composers who have shaped their paths.

As siblings and long-time performers, they’ll talk about the state of Greek laiko song today: its new voices and musicians, the kind of knowledge and lived experience the genre requires, and what it means to carry this tradition forward.

They’ll also reflect on how people celebrate today — especially at “Greek Panigyri” settings— and how the natural environment can influence the interpretation and delivery of a song.

Drawing from decades on stage, they’ll speak about the great creators of Greek laiko, the neighborhoods where it blossomed, and the lasting values it expresses — emotion, resilience, and connection to everyday life.
